Alan Smith

Alan Smith is a Sussex-based musician with considerable experience of classroom teaching. For 22 years, he was Head of a successful Music Department at a large comprehensive school in Crawley. He has recently given up full time teaching after 27 years to become a freelance musician. As well as being able to devote more time to composing, he now undertakes a wide range of musical activities. In addition to delivering training seminars for Creative Education, Alan is an examiner for Trinity College, London, a music lecturer at a large Further Education College in London and is regularly engaged as a conductor and keyboard player.
