| GUIDANCE
ON SUBMITTING YOUR CV TO CREATIVE EDUCATION |
Your cv is a key document in interim management, unlike
applications for substantive posts in education which
often debar them. The presentation and content of
your cv is crucial to gaining assignments. It is a
document that must be useful to the company and to
prospective clients; we can help with the latter.
Your cv is most useful when submitted electronically
and in the recommended format.
Your Interim Management cv should highlight your
experience of the following:
Monitoring
Intervention and support
Completing the proforma
- Keep your cv simple and easy to read; maximum
of 4 A4 pages in a standard typeface; no coloured
text or background; include as many keywords
as possible.
- Start with a summary profile of yourself,
free from generic waffle and avoiding a ‘Jack
or Jill of all Trades’ approach; emphasise
your specialist knowledge, skills and understanding,
and how many years of experience you have in senior
management positions; concentrate on your successful
outcomes (what are you famous for?); focus on what
you have to offer to clients; include relevant
facts and figures on budgets, staff and pupil numbers,
achievements and responsibilities.
- Limit your employment history to the last
5-10 years; tailor your commentary to support your
summary paragraph; start from the latest and
work backwards.
- You will need to update and re-submit your
cv regularly (at least termly) with details of your
last interim management assignment.
