With 10% of children suffering from mental health problems, this should be recognised as a significant area of support and responsibility within our schools – and yet many school/college staff, feel somewhat unprepared and unsure about what they can and should be doing. This course - aimed at mainstream schools - will inform about mental health problems, national work and developments, and what we can do to empower colleagues to work positively with students with mental health problems.

Response and action in school/college including policy, roles and responsibility, support, and inter-agency working

Teaching and learning – implications and strategies

Working towards an MA? Teachers attending this course have the opportunity to earn 20 Masters Level credits.
