WHAT IS INTERIM MANAGEMENT?


Interim Management is the provision of highly qualified and experienced staff to schools or LEAs when they are not able to appoint directly. Such a situation can arise for a number of reasons, such as:

  •  A suitable candidate has not yet been found
  •  A position is only available for a limited period of time, such as maternity leave, sick leave, or the appointment  process
  •  A school or authority is going through a period of change
  •  A school needs extra top quality personnel to help improve its standards and support existing staff members

Interim Managers usually work at LEA, Head, Deputy Head, Assistant Head or Head of Department level, often alongside existing management staff, to provide extra experience and support.
