This accessibility statement applies to www.creativeeducation.co.uk, www.humankind.com and www.parentpro.app and the ParentPro app.

These websites and mobile applications is run by Creative Education. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
  • We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • you cannot modify the line height or spacing of text
  • most older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
  • live video streams do not have captions
  • you cannot skip to the main content when using a screen reader
  • there’s a limit to how far you can magnify the map on our ‘contact us’ page

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

  • Certain recorded webinars
  • Some elements of the website cannot be magnified

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some webinar recordings do not have closed captions. We are currently in the process of updating all webinars with closed captions, and plan to have this complete by August 2024.

Disproportionate burden

Although the website is in general built with a responsive design, some elements of the website cannot be magnified due to the limitations of the website software that we use.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Live video

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We’re working towards completing closed captions on all recorded content by August 2024 and exploring other options to make the magnification of text easier.

This statement was prepared on 1st January 2024. It was last reviewed on 1st January 2024.

This website was last tested on 1st January 2024 against the WCAG [2.1 or 2.2] AA standard.

The test was carried out by the lead developer of our website team. The most viewed pages were tested using automated testing tools by our website team. A further audit of the website was carried out to the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.
