This course will cover the principles involved in mental well being, such as positive self-concept, coping and relaxation skills, goal setting and positive approaches. You will learn about substances that are used and abused by young people. You will learn how to develop an effective drug education programme, linked to mental well-being, which involves young people in their own learning.

  • The link between mental well being and drug education
  • Information about substances that young people use and misuse
  • A realistic approach towards drug education
  • Ways in which young people can take responsibility for their own well being, as part of a drug education programme
