COVID and attachment: what’s the impact, how can we help?
This is a playback of a past live webinar.
Pooky Knightsmith explores the potential impact of lockdown on the ability of small children to build and maintain relationships and what this might mean when restrictions are lifted. She considers the potential risks of the current situation and how to mitigate these and she thinks too about how we can lean into some of the benefits that the pandemic can bring for bond building.
Pooky has a PhD in child mental health from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. She is the author of several books, and is a former chair of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition. She runs Creative Education alongside her husband and Mother-in-Law.
