Top Tip 5: Support pupils to become independent

In this module, Matt argues that metacognition and self-regulation will also be key to pupils transitioning this September.  Self-regulated learners can see larger tasks as a series of smaller, more manageable steps.  Year 7 pupils will need us to scaffold self-regulation to support them in organising equipment, their time, and remembering routines.
