Identifying and Responding to Signs that a Child is Living with Domestic Abuse
This is an introductory course for all staff and volunteers working directly with children in schools. Domestic abuse is prevalent in the UK and affects thousands of children across the country. The course will outline the main types of domestic abuse, what to look out for and how to respond if you think a child is living in a domestically abusive environment.
Elizabeth is an experienced safeguarding practitioner, adviser and trainer. She has over 15 years’ experience working in education and was formerly a Designated Safeguarding Lead in a secondary school. She is currently an independent safeguarding consultant and trainer, alongside working for a Local Authority as their Safeguarding in Education Adviser.
