    PE Teaching for Non-Specialists

    Many of us whether teachers of other subjects, TAS, LSAs or even PE teaching apprentices are called upon to deliver PE even when we haven’t had a full range of training in the subject. Just because we have an interest in sport or perhaps some coaching experience doesn’t mean we have the tools and knowledge we need to deliver physical education effectively.  This course demystifies many aspects of PE teaching including what is likely to be required to be taught at each key stage, health and safety considerations, basics of planning and delivering effective lessons, simple models for differentiation and an overview on assessment and recording. Although this is a PE course, many of the processes and principles can apply to all areas of teaching.
