The DSL Monthly Update – August 2023 course is designed to keep Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) informed about the latest updates and practices essential for safeguarding in schools. The session primarily focuses on ensuring that DSLs are well-prepared for the upcoming academic year with the most current statutory guidance and practical advice on policy implementation.

Elizabeth is an experienced safeguarding practitioner, adviser and trainer. She has over 15 years’ experience working in education and was formerly a Designated Safeguarding Lead in a secondary school. She is currently an independent safeguarding consultant and trainer, alongside working for a Local Authority as their Safeguarding in Education Adviser.
