Training for SEND Transport

Keeping pupils safe starts before they reach the classroom

For many children and young people with SEND, the school journey is one of the most vulnerable parts of their day. The staff who support them — drivers, escorts, coordinators — carry enormous responsibility, often with very little formal training behind them.

Creative Education’s SEND Transport training suite changes that.

Why It Matters

CPD built for the people on the road

Whether you’re a school minibus driver, passenger escort, taxi or private hire driver, transport coordinator, SENCO, family liaison officer, local authority transport manager, or a teaching assistant supporting pupils on specialist routes — if you work with children and young people with SEND on the move, this is for you.

We’ve developed on-demand courses specifically for transport staff, coordinators, and local authorities working with children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities.

The suite covers two essential areas: compliance courses that make sure your staff meet their legal and regulatory responsibilities — including safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, and first aid awareness — and specialist courses that build the knowledge and confidence to support pupils with a range of needs, from neurodiversity and anxiety to epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, and allergies.

Whether your team needs a grounding in neurodiversity, practical guidance on managing a medical emergency, or the confidence to de-escalate a difficult moment — it’s all here, accessible any time, on any device.
