Managing Challenging Situations in Non-Classroom Spaces
Support staff to confidently handle behaviour challenges in corridors, playgrounds, dining halls and other shared spaces — with calm, clarity and consistency.
Behaviour incidents often happen in non-classroom spaces where pupils feel less supervised and routines may be less clear. This training helps support staff take calm, confident action in these moments, reinforcing consistency and safety across the whole school day.
What This Training Helps Your Team to Do
- Recognise when and why behaviour changes in less structured spaces
- Respond quickly and proportionately without escalating the situation
- Reinforce the same expectations used in classrooms
- Build positive relationships through micro-interactions
- Feel confident and valued in upholding whole-school behaviour culture
