Fathima will look at her own daughter’s mental health, what happened during Covid and shielding and how she identified mental health symptoms. We will also consider the barriers in diagnosing mental health issues for her daughter.
This webinar will also consider the impact on the physical health of the SEN individual and the impact on the rest of the family.
Fathima will explain how she got help through School, social media (the importance of sharing stories), and websites such as NAC. Fathima will also share how she is taking it further. As a teacher for learners with PMLD, she is working closely with the SEMH lead and school to help other families and raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellbeing for learners with PMLD and SEN
