Introduction to Safeguarding – Special Schools 2026/2027
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and we all have a part to play in keeping children safe. Those with SEND face additional safeguarding risks and are more vulnerable to abuse, neglect and exploitation. This course identifies these additional vulnerabilities and how to support and safeguard these children.

Elizabeth is an experienced safeguarding practitioner, adviser and trainer. She has over 15 years’ experience working in education and was formerly a Designated Safeguarding Lead in a secondary school. She is currently an independent safeguarding consultant and trainer, alongside working for a Local Authority as their Safeguarding in Education Adviser.
