During this practical short course, Pooky will walk you through a range of simple ideas to help you to better look after yourself if you have caring responsibilities – this of course applies to all parents and carers but the ideas will be especially pertinent to those caring for a child with special needs or disabilities. None of these ideas require any existing knowledge or experience and they are all designed to feel easily doable. You don’t have to do them all; pick one or two and see how you get on.
This is one of a series of webinars commissioned by Resilient Rutland who are funded by the National Lottery.
Pooky has a PhD in child mental health from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. She is the author of several books, and is a former chair of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition. She runs Creative Education alongside her husband and Mother-in-Law.
