What is Our Vestibular System? Why is it Key to Education for Learners with PMLD?
Training for all levels of professionals, including those new to education and parents and carers. The course will provide an overview of how we learn and why our vestibular sensory processing system is keytothis, especially for learners with PMLD. The vestibular system will be placed within the context of our sensory processing system and the impact /difficulties faced when there are issues with our vestibular processing system outlined. The course provides practical strategies for all learners, specifically those with PMLD.The role of effective multi professional collaboration and theeffective integration of advice (OT) and support are highlighted throughout.
Dr Sarah Moseley has over 25 years’ knowledge and experience within special and mainstream education, from teaching assistant to Headteacher. Sarah runs an independent educational consultancy service, based on the principles of think, feel, inspire, and connect, creating the change needed to make a difference to the outcomes for all learners. Sarah has a master’s degree and PhD in Special Education, focusing on the teaching of reading for pupils with SEND and the implications for inclusion. Sarah currently provides training, advice, consultancy and support for professionals and families. Her aim to bridge the gap between theory and learning, to create a culture where high expectations thrive.
