Creating Effective EHCP’s that Work for Learners with PMLD
Training for all levels of professionals, including those new to education and parents and carers. The course will provide an overview of the EHCP process, from requesting one, to creation and through to challenging decisions. The impact on the education of learners with PMLD of EHCP process, and how we can get this right will be explored and practical strategies provided. The key role of effective multi professional collaboration, alongside a holistic approach will be highlighted. Strategies to ensure effective integration of advice into the EHCP process from day one will be explored
Dr Sarah Moseley has over 25 years’ knowledge and experience within special and mainstream education, from teaching assistant to Headteacher. Sarah runs an independent educational consultancy service, based on the principles of think, feel, inspire, and connect, creating the change needed to make a difference to the outcomes for all learners. Sarah has a master’s degree and PhD in Special Education, focusing on the teaching of reading for pupils with SEND and the implications for inclusion. Sarah currently provides training, advice, consultancy and support for professionals and families. Her aim to bridge the gap between theory and learning, to create a culture where high expectations thrive.
