The short version
We want everyone to be able to use this website. We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard our customers in schools, trusts and councils work to. Our automated tests found problems only in a sign-up form made by HubSpot, and some other forms and older downloads may not be fully accessible yet. If anything gets in your way, email [email protected] or call 020 8680 4077 and we’ll help. The full statement below takes priority over this summary.
1. Using this website
This statement is for the Creative Education website at www.creativeeducation.co.uk. Our courses happen on our learning platform at learn.creativeeducation.co.uk, which has its own accessibility statement.
We’ve designed this website so that you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast and fonts using your browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- move around the site using only a keyboard
- use the site with speech recognition software
- use most of the site with a screen reader
We’ve also tried to make the text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
2. How accessible this website is
We know some parts of the site aren’t fully accessible:
- our other forms, for enquiries, quotes, downloads and job applications, are made by HubSpot, and some load in a frame we can’t fully control
- some older PDFs and Word documents in our free resources may not be fully accessible
- the cookie banner and, when it’s switched on, the help chat are provided by HubSpot, and we haven’t checked them yet
The site has been tested with automated tools only. It hasn’t yet had a manual audit or been tested by screen reader users.
3. Courses, videos and downloads
Course videos, captions and transcripts are on our learning platform, not on this website. Its accessibility statement says that:
- course videos have captions in the video player, and a transcript under “Can’t watch the video?”, and nothing plays on its own
- some captions and transcripts were made automatically and may have wrong words, especially names. Each transcript says when it was made automatically.
- not every video has yet been checked for captions, and recorded webinars from before 2020 haven’t yet been checked for captions, transcripts or other problems
On this website, some older PDFs and Word documents among our free resources may not work well with assistive technology. If you need a resource in another format, such as an accessible PDF, large print, easy read or audio, just ask (see section 4).
4. Reporting a problem or asking for another format
If you find a problem that isn’t listed here, or you need anything on this website in a different format, please tell us:
- email [email protected]
- call 020 8680 4077, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Tell us the address of the page and what happened. We’ll reply within 5 working days. If you can’t use one of our forms, we’ll take your enquiry, sign-up or job application by email or over the phone instead.
5. If you’re not happy with our response
Please tell us first, and we’ll do our best to put it right.
Under the Equality Act 2010, service providers must make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people can use their services. If you think we haven’t done that, you can get free advice from the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
6. Technical information
Creative Education is a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 don’t apply to us directly. Our customers are schools, trusts and councils that they do apply to, so we follow the same standard and write this statement in the same way.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, because of the problems and the unchecked parts listed below.
7. Content that isn’t accessible
Problems we know about
- Forms made by HubSpot. Our enquiry, booking and sign-up forms come from HubSpot. Its forms marked some check boxes and radio buttons in a way that fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value); we now correct that on our pages once each form has loaded, and our checks found no failures afterwards. Some newer HubSpot forms load in a frame, which we can’t check or change in the same way. If any form is hard to use, email [email protected] or call 020 8680 4077 instead.
- Older downloads. Some older PDFs and Word documents among our free resources may be missing headings, a proper reading order or descriptions of images. This can fail several WCAG 2.2 success criteria, including 1.1.1 (non-text content) and 1.3.1 (info and relationships). We’ll send any of them in another format on request.
Parts we haven’t checked
These are made by HubSpot and we can’t fully control them, so we can’t yet say whether they meet the standard:
- the enquiry, quote, contact, download and job application forms, some of which load in a frame
- the cookie banner
- the help chat, when it’s switched on
If any of these gets in your way, email or phone us instead (section 4).
Disproportionate burden
We’re not claiming disproportionate burden for anything on this website.
8. What we’re doing to improve
- We built the site to WCAG 2.2 AA, with a skip link, headings and landmarks on every page, and colours chosen for contrast.
- We’ll test key pages again with automated tools when we make significant changes.
- We moved the newsletter form out of the footer onto its own page, and we correct how HubSpot’s forms mark their check boxes and radio buttons.
- We’ll check forms that load in a frame by hand, and make older downloads accessible as we update them.
9. How we tested this website
We tested the site ourselves on 8 October 2026. We ran automated checks with axe-core, using its rules for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA, on 17 key pages. The only failures were in HubSpot’s forms, as described above. After our fix, the same checks on 18 pages, including the new programme and legal pages, found no failures.
Automated tools find only some kinds of problem. We haven’t yet had a manual audit, tested with screen readers or tested with disabled users.
This statement was prepared on 8 October 2026. We’ll update it when we test the site again or fix a problem listed here.
