What drivers and passenger assistants learn

Compliance covered (safeguarding, GDPR and first aid awareness) and specialist courses for the real challenges: de-escalation, neurodiversity and anxiety, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes and allergies.

We can also arrange specialist face-to-face training on multiple disabilities from a specialist trainer, priced separately.

Questions about SEND transport training

Are these courses what the council’s contract asks for?

They give your drivers and passenger assistants training in safeguarding, SEND and medical needs, and a record of it. The council sets what its contracts require, so check the courses against your own terms, or send us the requirement and we’ll show you which courses cover which part. The courses don’t replace DBS checks, licensing or the council’s own induction.

Can drivers do it on their own phone?

Yes. The courses work on any device, any time of day or night.

Do drivers and passenger assistants need a work email address?

No. They join with your link and any email address they already use.

Some of our drivers work for more than one operator. Is that a problem?

No. Each person has one training record, and each organisation sees the training it asked for.

Do you offer face-to-face training too?

Yes, specialist training on multiple disabilities from a specialist trainer. It’s priced separately: ask us for a price.
