This course will build on the basic phonics and the progression of phonics to enable pupils to read by six. Strategies are explored for everyday practice to ensure that all pupils make good or better progress in phonics and early reading strategies.
Melissa has been a teacher for 7 years working across the school and leading in a large Reception setting. She has expertise in early learning and the English National Curriculum for primary school children.
Melissa is currently leading English in a large inner city primary school and training colleagues in early learning experiences, reading and writing opportunities. Melissa also delivers training on promoting mental wellbeing for children.
