Kim Martinczak has 10 years of experience as a paediatric occupational therapist.  Having trained in America she has her Master’s degree in occupational therapy and has completed numerous courses on Sensory Integration practice. She has worked in community settings in America and the United Kingdom and recently worked as a manager in an NHS service before becoming the clinic manager at Whole Child Therapy.

She has also completed DIR Floortime training, a research-based therapeutic approach created by child psychologist Stanley Greenspan that is focused on meeting children where they are and building upon their strengths and abilities by using warm relationship and interaction techniques.

This webinar will explore:

  • Understand the benefits to floor based play on a baby’s development and concerns that may arise if this stage is missed
  • Demonstrate understanding of the socioemotional and physical benefits of floor based play throughout childhood
  • Understand how to follow the child’s lead to engage in floor based play
