About this course

Lists of warning signs for anxiety, eating disorders or self-harm get so long that you end up worrying about every child you know. It's simpler to look for one thing: change. A child who is suddenly exhausted or wired, eating differently, or dropping the things they used to love.

This course is written mainly for parents and carers, and works just as well for anyone who spends time with children. It helps you trust your gut, then shows you how to build the kind of relationship where a child tells you what's wrong. Listen to the little worries, because to them they're big. Ask them to show you the YouTube channel or game you don't get. Tell them out loud that they matter to you.

And if they choose to talk to someone else first, that's normal. You haven't let them down.
