About this course
A change of routine or a scratchy label can be enough to tip things over. Many autistic children feel anxiety more often and more intensely than their friends, and it isn't always obvious what set it off.
Jessica Parker helps you work out your own child's triggers, then gives you a handful of things to try at home. There's a safe space they can retreat to and a sensory box to take out with you. There's also the 'soles of the feet' exercise, where your child moves anxious feelings down and out through their feet. Practised often enough, it's something they can do on their own, anywhere.
Nobody needs every idea. The one or two that suit your child are plenty to start with.
