Your QTVI's advice comes first, but they won't be in the room every lesson. Between visits, it's up to you to make the everyday work: where the student sits, what the worksheet looks like, how they get through a crowded canteen.
Most of the changes are ones you can make tomorrow. Favour the student's stronger side when you plan seating, and keep bright windows behind them. Limit close work to around 15 minutes before a break, never write in green on the whiteboard, and sign up to RNIB Bookshare, which gives UK schools accessible textbooks free. You'll also see how screen sharing puts the board on the student's own device, and how describing a plate like a clock face makes lunch easier.
The course is taught by a specialist teacher who lost her own sight in her late twenties, and knows both sides of the desk.
