Exploring Gender Diversity Through Gender Identity and Expression
Laying a clear foundation to understanding gender diversity through the interlinking areas of gender identity and expression. This course goes on to offer insight into how we may use words to describe our gender, not just to raise awareness but to normalise the language around gender diversity.
Dr Gray Felton is Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Coordinator at Notting Hill and Ealing High School, and Consultant Teacher for SEND at The Girls’ Day School Trust. They have worked in mainstream and special schools for over fifteen years as a specialist teacher and SENDCo. They have experience working with students from reception to degree level, with a wide range of physical disabilities and learning difficulties. Starting out as an Art teacher, Dr Felton completed their PhD in 2011, and was Post Doctoral Research Scholar at The Institute of Education, University College London until 2015.
