Succeed with the Pupil Premium with this 3-Point Plan

The Pupil Premium is money specifically earmarked to improve educational attainment for disadvantaged children – but how can we make sure that we’re successful in this aim?  In this course, you’re walked through a simple three step process to help you make the very best use of this fund using Matt Bromley’s simple three point plan:
  1. Identify the barriers
  2. Choose the strategies
  3. Set the success criteria
This course will clear up any ambiguity about what the pupil premium is and how it can be used as well as giving you a simple, clear framework for best utilising it.  This course is a great opportunity for more experienced colleagues to reflect on current practice, whilst those newer to working with the Pupil Premium will find it to be a comprehensive and thought provoking introduction which inspires tangible action. This course has been developed by Matt Bromley who has over twenty years’ experience in teaching and leadership including as headteacher. He regularly speaks at the national Pupil Premium conference, has written extensively on how to make effective use of the Pupil Premium, and has worked with countless schools on improving their PP provision.  In addition, he specialises in diminishing disadvantage, including through the development of cultural capital and by improving pupils’ literacy skills.  He is the author of a number of books and regularly writes for the education media.
