Workload: How to Reduce Staff Workload Whilst Improving Student Outcomes

Nearly every 'how do I…?' question about homework on a screen can be taught once, so your child can get on without you.
Free for 14 days, then £7 a month or £70 a year. Cancel before day 14 and you won't pay anything.
If every piece of online homework starts with your child calling you over, it's hard on both of you. Children are expected to use a keyboard as easily as a pencil, but someone still has to show them where the save button is.
Independence comes from small habits. Use the proper words (toolbar, browser, keyboard) and the same clear steps each time, so they can repeat them on their own. Set up folders and favourites for the sites school uses. Before a first online lesson or presentation, do a dress rehearsal on a video call with a grandparent, and pin up a checklist for logging on: link saved, headphones tested, device charged.
It also covers the difference between researching a question and googling the answer, why copied work can land an older student in real trouble, and typing games that make practice fun.
