About this course

Sending an email instead of phoning costs you nothing. For a colleague who struggles with calls, it can change their whole day. Neuroinclusion is mostly made of changes like that.

Neuroinclusion starts with accepting that people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other differences experience the world differently, and that two people with the same diagnosis may need different things. Get it right and pupils grow in confidence and join in more, and neurodivergent staff are more likely to stay.

Most of it is practical. Think sensory adjustments like noise-cancelling headphones and dimmable lights, individual support plans for staff, and meetings with clear agendas and fewer sensory triggers. Over time, you can help pupils and colleagues explain their own needs too.
